Who we are
SCOVerify is operated by WTR TRADING L.L.C., registration number 1609620, No. 2, Al Suwaidi Building, Al Nahda, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are responsible for account administration and operation of this service. Contact [email protected] for privacy questions and requests.
Account and sign-in information
We process your name, email address, account identifier, account status and authentication records to create your account and provide access to your room. Google sign-in supplies your basic profile and verified email address. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, Google contacts or Google Drive through this integration.
Messages, calls and translation
We process room membership, connection information and encrypted content to deliver conversations and calls. Connection information can include IP addresses and browser information needed for network delivery. Encryption does not hide all connection or account metadata. Participants can retain content you share. When you use translation, the text to be translated is sent to our server and translation service for processing; that processing requires readable text. Do not treat translated text as remaining encrypted from the translation service.
Cookies and device storage
Necessary authentication cookies maintain your session. Browser storage remembers preferences and stores keys needed for encrypted conversations. Clearing browser data may remove these keys. Private device-linking codes authorize another device to access your account; protect them like a sign-in link. Registration, email sign-in and device-linking authorizations expire after two minutes and can be used once. Free account sessions expire after 30 days unless revoked earlier.
Why we process information
We process account and communication information to provide the service you request and perform our agreement with you. We process necessary security and operational information for our legitimate interests in preventing misuse and maintaining a reliable service. We may also process information to meet legal obligations. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Required account information is needed to create and operate your account.
Who receives information
Information is shared with the participants you communicate with and the providers needed to operate hosting, network delivery, authentication, translation and email. Google handles Google sign-in. Cloudflare supports network delivery and incoming service email processing. Authorized service administrators may access account and operational information for support and security. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.
Where information is processed
The operator is established in the United Arab Emirates. Network, authentication and email providers may process information internationally, including outside your country. Contact [email protected] for information about the providers and transfer arrangements applicable to your account. This notice does not represent that all processing takes place in the EU or that a particular transfer safeguard has been independently certified.
How long information remains
Account records are retained while the account remains active and to handle account administration, security and applicable legal obligations. The current service does not automatically delete accounts solely because they are inactive. Encrypted conversation data, email archives and backups are not deleted merely because a meeting ends or a sign-in link expires. Their retention depends on room resets, account deletion, operational recovery and any applicable legal requirements; contact us to request deletion. Authentication records can remain stored after they cease to authorize access. Browser preferences and keys remain until removed from that browser. Where call-quality diagnostics are enabled, their retention is 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity. You may complain to your competent data protection authority; people in the EU can contact their national supervisory authority, and people in the UK can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. Service authentication and capacity checks are used to control access; they are not credit or eligibility scoring.
Lawful use and service terms
Worldwide lawful-use requirements, user responsibilities and limitations of liability are described in our Terms of Service. Those provisions do not remove our obligations under applicable data protection law or restrict privacy rights that cannot lawfully be restricted. This Privacy Policy explains personal information processing; it is not a waiver of those rights.
Changes
We will update this notice when our processing changes and communicate material changes through an appropriate service notice.
